How does Wi-Fi work?

It's as easy as 1-2-3!

1. You'll need a Wi-Fi ready Laptop or PDA. If yours doesn't have a Wi-Fi card, you can buy one at most PC stores.
2. Get yourself an iBurst package (if you don't already have one) and download the Connection Manager to run iBurst Wi-Fi from your laptop or PDA. You'll also need to buy a voucher to get started. Buy these through MyBurst or your connection manager.
3. Find yourself a Wi-Fi hotspot. Hotspots are areas that have access to the Wi-Fi network. You'll find in them in airports, coffee shops, hotels, shopping centres – all over the place (65 local and 110 000 international hotspots including Wireless G hotspots !)
4. Our connection manger should be used when entering a wireless G hotspot wth a wireless device using Window.
5. The Connection Manager is only compatible with Microsoft Windows. Mac and Linux are not supported

How much will it cost me?

The subscription will be free to iBurst subscribers – all you'll need to pay for is the data you use. This is charged at a flat rate – locally the rate is R0.68 per meg, and R1.50 per minute for international– you pay-as-you-go so you'll know exactly how much you're spending!
